Richard Adams's Shardik is not a cyborg; he's an actual bear (albeit one who lives in a fantasy world). The question setter would appear to be confusing him with the character that Stephen King named after him, which is a cyborg; this one appears in the eight–novel series The Dark Tower, published between 1998 and 2004. Richard Adams's novel was published in 1974.
Adams's Shardik is only just over twice the height of a man; King's version is forty feet tall.
